Getting back into it
So it's been about a month since my last post.
I did reasonably well last year with my eating and ended up at about 86.? kg.
Then it was xmas holiday time.
I had really good intentions but I felt weird about cooking my stuff at Jen's place so I ended up just eating pretty badly for the whole time I was away. Chocolate and/or Icecream most days. bready bread bread everywhere. KFC, maccas, Red Rooster, more KFC KFC KFC. It was very tasty though.
So I made it back home on the Sunday after a pretty ordinary ride home (down the Pacific Hwy - ugh). IT was fairly hot here and I could not be arsed going back out so I ordered pizza (pizza, chicken kickers and mini dutch pancakes). Oh well!
Monday morning I weighed in at 90.8kg. Whoah mumma! Monday I had scrambled eggs for breakfast as that was all I had, I had some tomato sauce with it. Not bad. I had a sausage roll portion at work for morning tea, I couldn't help myself. I then had indian for lunch, including a naan bread (yum) and left over pizza for dinner. Not ideal. I did go and do some grocery shopping though :)
Tuesday morning I had bacon and eggs. This made me realise just how much I have gone off eggs! Major overdose last year I think. I didn't have anything for lunch so I went to the IGA and bought a packet of ham, a packet of salami, a thing of brie and a small packet of cashews. I ate half and saved half for the next day. That was pretty good actually. For dinner I had a steak and an egg with a drizzle of avocado oil. Yum.
Wednesday morning I had decided I was going to try having steak for breakfast. It seemed wrong but it was good! Lunch was the ham, salami, brie and cashews. For dinner I had 'bacon bolognese', I don't have spaghetti and I chuck a heap of bacon into the sauce. Yummo.
Thursday morning I had a steak again (I season my steak with a bit of salt and olive oil and then cook it in garlic and butter). I also had a small sweet potato pancake. For lunch I had ham, salami, brie and cashews. I had gone to Woolies and bought this huge chunk of brie but it's not as nice as the mainland one I had bought from the IGA. I was really bad when I got home and ate 100g of cashews as a snack! and I had steak for dinner
Friday was steak and an egg for breakfast, my ham, salami, brie and cashews for lunch and again I blew out and ate a heap of cashews for snacks, and had left over bacon bolognese for dinner.
Saturday I had sweet potato pancakes with (real) maple syrup Yummo!! for breakfast, snacked on cashews x lots, ham, salami, brie and cashews for lunch and a mediterranean pork cutlet for dinner.
Each day I have gone for a short 20 minute walk which is not particularly taxing and is just enough to get me moving and get my appetite up. Also each day I have had a coffee (plunger coffee), with one teaspoon of palm sugar and full cream milk.
Today I got on the scales and I weighed 87.2. WOOHOO!
I have been tracking my food intake at myfitnesspal and most days, particularly the days where I have been smashing the cashews, I have been waaaaaay over my recommended calorie intake. yet I am losing constantly!
Perhaps it is not so much calories in v calories out as the actual make up of the food intake???
